Asher has finally gotten some teeth! After 5 months of hard core teeth his bottom two decided to show. He has already bitten me. I didn't realize those teeth could be so sharp, they are like daggers! Its pretty cute to see him with his first two teeth. Hopefully the others follow quickly so we can get past some of the teething symptoms.
It seems like he is figuring out that I am momma and Ryan is dadda. Nothing beats him throwing himself at me and saying momma.
He loves to walk around the house. Last night he walked around (with me holding his hand) for about a half an hour. He just keeps going and going. He stands by himself and has even taken a few steps and then he falls. One time as he was standing by himself he tried to jump to me. I have been trying to take more pictures of him but for the past couple of days every picture had him with his eyes closed! We laughed together as I tried and tried to get one with his eyes open. Here is the proof:

Its been a long time...
So I knew I was being a bad blogger when April was able to post two blogs since my last. I have been busy, but my busy doesn't compare to April's busy right now. Sorry to those waiting to see new pictures of Asher!
About a week and a half ago we had to take Asher to his first emergency room visit. The poor guy fell on a toy and split his tongue on the right side. There was lots of blood and lots of screaming. I had always heard parents say that accidents happen even when you are right next to them, I wasn't sure how that worked but now I know. He fell and just hit his head. There was nothing I could do but scoop him up and hold him.
We decided to take him in to see if he needed stitches because the cut was pretty nasty. The good Lord was looking out for us because we walked right in and saw a doctor within 10 minutes. They felt that because he was so young they were not going to stitch his tongue. So 10 minutes later we were back in the car with strict instructions to not let him put anything in his mouth except food. Ummmm.....how do you do that with a teething 8 month old?? We did our best and today his tongue is healed but you can tell where he cut it. I am praying that in time it will go back to normal. Sometimes you can see it very well other times you can't see it at all.
Asher was so brave through the whole thing! The only time he cried was when it happened. He didn't even cry when there was four people standing over him with a flashlight playing with his bleeding tongue. He handled it a lot better than I would have!
Other than that Asher has been growing and learning new things. He is talking a lot! He walks with you if you hold his hands. He LOVES music!!! If its musical he plays with it. Which is such a shock to Ry and I because..well..if you know us then you know why. He plays really well with other kids but he hasn't learned not to take toys from other kids. He thinks, like every other kid, if I want the toy I will just grab it no matter who's playing with it.
His hair color is the same as mine now. Unfortunately it has been thinning. I am praying that he is just growing out of his baby hair and that his real hair will be thick like his moms and dads. I have to give him a hair cut again because it is just out of control!
We have had a great couple of weeks because Ry had some time off of work. Asher just loves hanging out with dad. It was so sad this morning when Ry left because Asher cried:( He got over it pretty quick but it was so cool to see how much Asher already loves his daddy.
This weekend I am going on a woman's bible retreat so Ryan will be on 24/7 dad duty. He is pretty excited and I know the boys will have lots of fun. I will miss them though!
I think that's it from here. Here are some pictures, they were taken the day after the accident and you can see the injury. Enjoy your week!
