Asher's first swim

Asher went to his first pool party on saturday. He had a lot of fun. He wasn't sure at first if he liked the water, but once we got in the warm kiddy pool he decided he liked it;) Dad and Jackie sat on the sidelines and watched while I got splashed in the face by another kid. Good times.

Asher had descovered that he can stick his tongue out. You would think with how much he sticks his tongue out now it would dry out, but no his slobber keeps it nice and moist! Ryan thought something was wrong with him, but nope just another stage.

He also enjoys sticking everything into his mouth. We went to a potluck on sunday where there were tons of kids. A few of the kids tried to give Asher a toy, each toy he inspected and then put into his mouth.

I would like to ask you all to pray for my friend who is having some issues right now with her pregnancy. Pregnancy is never easy so it makes its even harder when you have complications. Please join us in prayer that her pregnancy gets better and that the baby is healthy.

God Bless!

Sorry about the slobber....

I had no idea it had been almost two weeks since I last posted! Time flies by when you have a little one;) My hubby has been working out in the field so I tend to fill my days so that they will go by faster. I had MOPS (mothers of preschoolers) on Monday, visiting friends on Tuesday and Wednesday, some errands to run for church, went to a retirement home to visit with some residents on Thursday and went grocery shopping today. Phewww! Its funny, now that I am not working I am busier then when I was working. Tomorrow we have a Revolutionary Parenting simulcast at church that I am so excited to attend.

Now on to the boy! He has been growing again. He is 25 1/4 inches long and about 14 lbs. He is so ticklish pretty much everywhere. He has been working so hard to sit up on his own, but he's still not quite there yet. He can roll all over the place so I have to be careful where I leave him because he's never in the same place. All the good ones have him slobbering...sorry about that. He slobbers more than our rottweiler! The rotty and Asher are getting along so well! Its very sweet to see them interact. I will have a video soon of them playing.

He's getting so big!

My little guy is getting so big! He can now sit by himself for short periods of time. He loves to grab his feet and play with them, he even sucks on his toes! Ryan thinks this is gross but it makes me laugh. Asher is also trying to crawl. He doesn't quite get the concept yet so for now he lays there with his arms and legs going crazy. He loves to smile and laugh (wonder where he gets that from)! Here are some videos of him with his favorite toy and sitting up!
